Welcome to the Roborock S7 series! Roborock offers different versions of their S7 series, starting with the base models, the S7 and S7+. These were quickly followed by the S7 MaxV Plus and the flagship model the S7 MaxV Ultra. To make things more complicated Roborock then also released the S7 Pro Ultra and their last model in the S7 series was released in 2023 which is the S7 Max Ultra. What are the different versions of Roborock S7?
The Roborock S7 series launched in 2021 with the S7 and S7+ models, which are essentially identical except that the S7+ comes with a dock station featuring automatic dust-emptying. In 2022, Roborock expanded the series with the S7 MaxV and S7 MaxV Plus models, which doubled the suction power to 5,100Pa compared to the S7's 2,500Pa. These models also introduced "Reactive AI 2.0" for enhanced obstacle detection. Later that same year, Roborock unveiled their flagship model, the S7 MaxV Ultra, which featured the new Ultra docking station. This advanced dock includes three containers (fresh water, dirty water and dust collection) and can automatically refill the robot's water tank, as well as clean its brush and mop pad.
To complicate matters, Roborock released two more models in the S7 series. The first, the S7 Pro Ultra, is very similar to the S7 MaxV Ultra but lacks a camera, meaning it doesn't have the "Reactive AI 2.0" obstacle detection system. In 2023, Roborock introduced the final model in the series, the S7 Max Ultra. The absence of the 'V' in its name indicates that it also lacks a camera and instead relies on LiDAR and infrared for navigation. However, it includes a significant improvement which was hot air drying for the mop pad. This model also saw a small boost in suction power, reaching 5,500Pa.
